Following
four years in private practice in
metropolitan Washington, D.C., Dr. Long
joined William Beaumont Hospital, Royal
Oak, Michigan as a vascular surgeon in
1998. Dr. Long is a Phi Beta Kappa
graduate of Kalamazoo College; he
received his M.D. from Wayne State
University School of Medicine in 1987.
Following a General Surgery Residency
at William Beaumont Hospital, his
postgraduate medical training included
a Fellowship
in Vascular Surgery at the Cleveland
Clinic Foundation.
Dr.
Long has participated in
20
national clinical research
studies,
including five as
Principal
Investigator.
Many of these research studies
contributed to the development of new
stents, grafts, and techniques for
endovascular procedures. Dr. Long has
co-authored
15
publications in medical
journals
and presented 17 papers at
medical
conferences and symposiums
nationwide.
